Hello! I’m Xinyan, an interactive designer who loves data and audience engagement.

Right now, I work as the audience development associate at The IJF, and also a freelance social editor at The Markup. Before that, I was a social media fellow at Fortune.

I started my career as a multimedia journalist. My passion for interactive storytelling has led me to documentary production and audience engagement. After working in the media industry for a year, I decided to further develop my information design skills through the MI program at the University of Toronto.

When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, cooking, and making origami art. I’m an avid video game player and a soccer enthusiast. My favorite game is the Cube Escape series.

Here are some origamis I created. Enjoy!
